Classifications

Classifications of membership fall primarily into one of two major categories: Athletic Memberships or Social Memberships.

An Athletic Membership, for the golf enthusiast, includes access to everything we offer at James River Country Club: dining, pools, tennis, and golf. A Social Membership includes access to the whole facility but a "pay as you play” option for golf. An additional offer, a Tennis-Only Membership, includes year-round access to our indoor and outdoor courts.

Athletic membership

A full membership that allows you to access all of our facilities: dining, pools, tennis, and also includes golf greens fees. This membership is appealing to golfers and families who would like to take full advantage of all amenities that James River Country Club has to offer.

Class AA: Members Ages 40+


Class DD: Ages Under 40

Social Membership

A full membership that allows you to access all of our facilities: dining, pools, and tennis, but a pay-as-you-play policy is in effect for the golf course. This membership appeals to members who like to be socially involved at the Club. 

Class A: Members Ages 40+

Class D: Members Ages Under 40
 

Further breakdowns for military status and those members living outside the residential limits of the club are available.
