Membership

We welcome new members to join James River Country Club, a Club rich in tradition, providing its members with an ideal location for social and athletic activities.

We welcome new members to join James River Country Club. Applications for membership are submitted to the Board by a Sponsor and a Co-Sponsor, each of whom must be members in good standing of the Club. The Sponsor and Co-Sponsor must each write a letter in support of the application and they are also responsible for introducing the prospective member to at least three members of the Board. Only individuals may be considered for membership. Explore the various membership classifications below.

  • Athletic Membership

    • A full membership that allows you to access all of our facilities: dining, pools, tennis, and also includes golf greens fees. This membership is appealing to golfers and families who would like to take full advantage of all amenities that James River Country Club has to offer.

      CLASS AA: MEMBERS AGES 40+
      CLASS DD: AGES under 40
  • Social Membership

    • A full membership that allows you to access all of our facilities: dining, pools, and tennis, but a pay-as-you-play policy is in effect for the golf course. This membership appeals to members who like to be socially involved at the Club. 

      CLASS A: MEMBERS AGES 40+
      CLASS D: MEMBERS AGES under 40
