Jeremy K. Franks
Head Golf Professional
Jeremy Franks began his position as the head professional at James River Country Club on March 18, 2011. Jeremy’s prior professional career includes: First Assistant Golf Professional, Chevy Chase Club; Assistant Golf Professional, Four Streams Golf Club; and Apprentice Golf Professional, The PGA Village. In 2008 Jeremy achieved membership in the PGA of America. He has served as the Grow the Game Chair for the Central Chapter of the Middle Atlantic Section. He is very active in the Section and believes in serving his fellow PGA members. Jeremy's playing record includes All American honors while playing collegiate golf for Montgomery College. He also held the position of co-Captain during the same season. He was medalist at his first PAT in 2003, and placed second in the first professional tournament at Williamsburg National. Jeremy has a passion for teaching. His students have won a variety events ranging from club events to junior tour championships. Jeremy enjoys teaching “all” skill levels from beginner to advanced. Jeremy resides in Newport News with his wife Nicole, and his three children, Christopher, McKinley and Sienna.
Sean P. Daly
Assistant Golf Professional
Sean was born and raised in upstate New York. He moved down to Virginia in the summer of 1995 and started working at the Williamsburg Kingsmill Tennis Club. He worked at the Tennis Club from July 1996 to December of 1999. Sean then decided to make a career change into the golf profession. Leaving the tennis profession in December, Sean transferred departments into an assistant golf professional at Kingsmill Resort & Spa. As he began a career in golf, it was easily seen that this business was for him. Sean left Kingsmill in 2003 and became Head Golf Professional at the Traditions of Stonehouse. He continued as the head golf professional up until 2009. Sean has been a part of the James River Country Club staff since June of 2010. He brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to the professional staff. Sean has a tremendous passion for teaching the game of golf to all ages and abilities.Sean's hobbies includes cooking, fishing and wine tasting.
