Clubhouse

Built in 1932, the clubhouse stands as a stately reminder of years gone by.   While elegantly remodeled,  the formality of the foyer and ballroom give way to the warmth of the cherry paneled Hungtington Lounge with its fireplace and flatscreened TVs.   The River Room, our casual dining room,  is bright and welcoming  with panoramic views of the James River and the 18th Green.     The clubhouse at James River Country Club offers a total of four different dining areas, banquet and event space for private parties and meetings, a golf shop with  full locker room facilities, and the oldest golf museum in the world.  As you walk through the clubhouse, history is evident in every room with paintings and artifacts that date back to the beginning of the twentieth century.    The clubhouse is the center of the social life at the Club, where a welcoming staff awaits you.  At the end of a perfect day here playing golf, tennis, or just lying by the pool, members come to the clubhouse to enjoy a drink with friends, or an elegant, relaxed dinner in a beautiful setting!

The Club is closed on Mondays.
