Tennis
Our tennis facility has a pro shop and nine har-tru (clay) tennis courts, two with lights for evening play. For tennis enthusiasts of all skill levels there is a full schedule of leagues, tournaments, family/ adult socials, as well as a thriving junior program boasting more than 100 juniors.
This schedule offers a wide variety of special events and leagues throughout the entire year, including cardio tennis, mixed doubles tournaments, singles and doubles club championships, a member-guest tournament, and more. For juniors of all abilities, the Club offers three eight-week sessions, as well as a team tennis league with two levels.
Lessons at JRCC include private hitting lessons and drill clinics with teaching aids such as a ball machine and videotaped lessons. And because there is a wide variety of playing abilities here, we use the NPTR system that enables our players to rate themselves against other players when looking for a match.
In addition to the normal tennis season, our tennis pro takes many of our juniors indoors during the winter months. The opportunity for year-round instruction has been a tremendous asset to our juniors, and many of our adult players carry their summer leagues indoors from October through April as well.
Now to keep you properly outfitted for year-round tennis, our pro shop is well equipped with all types of tennis gear and clothing. If you need something not in stock, the pro shop staff will gladly get it for you.
The pro shop is open from 8:30 a.m. until dusk and the court lights will stay on two hours after sunset.
